Program Overview

Top Knowledge Healthcare Institute’s Medical Assisting with Phlebotomy program is a unique 4-in-1 training opportunity that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), and Certified EKG Technician (CET). This comprehensive program is designed to prepare students for a rewarding and in-demand career in the healthcare field.

Students receive cross-training in administrative, laboratory, and clinical duties typically performed in physician offices, clinics, and urgent care centers. Skills developed include patient reception, appointment scheduling, medical record management, administering injections, recording vital signs, performing EKGs and venipuncture (blood draws), and assisting physicians during physical exams and minor surgeries.

Program Highlights of Our Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy Training Program

Students benefit from a robust curriculum that culminates in a 200-hour clinical externship. This externship provides valuable hands-on experience in real-world medical settings, allowing students to apply their classroom learning in practical environments. Through this opportunity, students increase their confidence, enhance their communication and technical skills, and become more competitive in the job market.

Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for four NHA certifications, opening doors to increased job opportunities in high-demand fields. The ability to earn multiple certifications through a single program significantly boosts employment prospects, especially given the positive job growth projected in Maryland.

Our program is state-approved, and students receive:

  • A Certificate of Completion in Medical Assisting
  • An AHA BLS Certification
  • NHA vouchers for the CCMA and CPT exams
  • Small class sizes (average 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio)
  • Lifetime job placement assistance

We are proud to report a 100% pass rate for the NHA CCMA and CPT certification exams in 2024.
